The Breisgau jewelry manufacture  Materia Prima, which was founded in 1999, focuses on the design and production of unique pieces. But you can also see small jewelry lines, which include sophisticatedly designed cufflinks apart from rings and earrings. This traditional manufacture truly is a gem. Their pieces of jewelry which mainly consist of recycled silver waste will be presented at the Berlin Fashion Week from July 9th to July 10th in the Greenshowroom in the Hotel Adlon.

However, the long journey, the recycled silver has to undergo, from the cast to the presentation at the Berlin Fashion Week, is intense. Initially, the so-called prototypes are produced which are made of caoutchouc by a Pforzheim casting manufacture. The rubber pieces are then filled with wax. During the following lost-wax casting, the piece of jewelry is then finally shaped and cleaned.

Porcelain painter Katharina Kiraly applies beautiful paintings on the fragile porcelain figures, which come from a Bavarian manufacture in Thiersheim. Additionally, she puts her signature on the little artworks. If you desire a special motif or caption, or if you want to implement a certain idea which you have had in mind for years, you are welcomed to express your wishes.
