I already introduced to you the fabulous Japanese label Julien David when I told you about his spring and summer 2014 for women. The designs were noticeably masculine and the lines between the sexes were extremely blurred.
Today I will introduce you to the Men’s spring and summer collection, which can also be worn by women, too. You can see that in the lengths of the designed t-shirts. They were all cut like tunics, which cover up the trousers beneath and make you appear like you’re wearing a dress.
The different designs aren’t reduced to those specific features. Julien David dares to explore new ground with his spring and summer collection. Whilst women always had the pleasure of a diverse fashion palette, men had to take what they can get and that wasn’t much. It could be due to the lack of curiosity of the male customers.
Julien David however, welcomes a new era for men and fashion. He introduces the overall-suit for men. It looks like a classic suit until you realize that it is in fact an overall. They come in black and blue and aren’t the only casual outfit choices in the collection. Some even appear quite young to bring out the men’s inner children.
Julien David already showed the world his habit of turning the whole fashion world upside down when he presented the women’s collection. This time around he succeeds to shake up men’s closets and managed to act against all conventions.
