If I knew that there’s a big crocodile swimming in a lake, I wouldn’t jump in and start swimming no matter what- unlike one particular fisherman called Chito from Costa Rica. One day, Chito found a wounded crocodile and took it home. There, he took care of it until it was strong and healthy enough to go back to the wilderness.

But when he wanted to set it free, the crocodile didn’t want to leave his new friend. He followed him back home. Chito called him Pocho. Surprisingly the crocodile reacted, when called by that name. Little by little, they trusted each other well enough to play together in the lake and practice tricks. In the end, Pocho grew to become more than  5 meters long. Their relationship has lasted for 20 years and ended when Pocho died. But I bet he had a great life thanks to the fisherman.
