Letting a stone bounce off the surface of the water doesn’t only make fun, but can also impress. Sounds ridiculous? It isn’t, not at all! How does the ultimate stone skipping work? I put together some tips for you guys down below.

  1. Look for a flat stone which lies comfortably in your hand and which is not heavier than a tennis ball. If the stone is too heavy, it will sink instantly.
  2. Hold the stone between your thumb and your pointer. Put the thumb above it. The other fingers stabilize the stone from below.
  3. Stand with your side facing the water, pull back your arm. Now, throw the stone. Try to toss the stone in an off-handed way.
  4. Try to achieve an angle of 20 degrees when the stone is hitting on the water to get the best result.

Always remember that the stone took forever to get to the beach and to feel the sun. So, if you want to throw it into the water, do it correctly and nicely!
