Anastasia Pearce’s decision to found an own label was guided by her love of colors and textures. After she pursued her studies in fashion design and fashion illustration at the Parsons School in New York she underwent a practical training at Maggie Norris Couture.

The name Theme and Variationderives from a kind of music in which a main melody represents the theme and is composed with several variations then. This label identifies with this procedure: the theme stays while the way of realization varies.

It focuses on the idea and the image of a young, modern woman: She is classic and at the same time fancy. The best example of this combination is a red necklace that consists of scales and is closed embracing the neck just like a turtle. On the one hand it is reminiscent of a stiff queen’s collar, but on the other hand the red color has a very refreshing effect.

Anastasia Pearce created complicated pieces of jewelry which aren’t only worn around one body part. An earring that encloses the whole ear is connected to the hairstyle by a barrette and a subtle string. The ring literally becomes one with the barrette. One creation even encloses the wearer’s whole body!

Theme and Variation continually tries to look beyond traditional jewelry designs, thus it can offer its special creations to young clients. Their latest designs were presented at the Fashion Week in Saskatchewan  in May 2014.
