Christina Exie does not follow the trends but she goes her own way. Therefore she is known as a very self-willed label and it’s often described as avant-garde. Her designs should give women the confidence and pride of an accomplished man. Looking at the new collection for fall and winter 2014/15, she did a remarkable job. Especially the rather casual cuts are adding a masculine touch.
The designs show a little game of contrast between black and white. On the one side, there is the monochromatic look in opposition to the white hems for small highlights on quite dark outfits. You can see a continuous silhouette in this collection but the A-shape became a standard. It is particularly noticeable on Marlene Dietrich’s pants with wide cut hem. A cape would also accentuate this form.
Christina Exie really earned her avant-garde status. Her language in the designs is so distinctive and it attracts all the attention solely due to the clear structures. Therefore I am much honored to announce that this outstanding designer is going to participate at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week .
