After having finished her studies at the College for Fashion and Design in Barcelona, Lorena Saravia started her apprenticeship at the brand Macario Jiménez. She wanted to  gain more knowlodge and impvoe her skills, making sure her talents don’t go wasted. Six months after these eventful years, she launched her first mini collection, which she presented at the Bread&Butter in Barcelona. The fall and winter line 2010 was her first complete collection, and so her eponymous label was born.

Summer 2014 awaits us mainly with creations for women, but there will be also some pieces for the modern man. Some of this year’s striking styling pieces are the trains, capes and the high-low cut. As for other designers, Lorena Saravia also likes to link to the unapproachable, which starts with such flowing companions.

Despite the light designs, it’s the color palette with its reds and blues that add incisiveness. This is how the summer collection becomes a statement. It’s especially the shoulder parts that reveal a symbiosis between the body and clothing and the pieces where she got inspired by the anatomy. One of the best examples would be the cream-colored dress whose straps appear like epaulettes.

I think we will hear a lot more from this young designer. That’s why we look forward to seeing her at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week México on April 3.
