King Kong by Peter Jackson is a really cool movie, I have to admit. The visual effects, the story and most importantly, the island! Or just everything you’ve seen there! Dinosaurs, insects and some kind of tribe. Weta Workshop released something completely rad for us! “The World of Kong – A Natural History of Skull Island“!

It’s a full book about the natural history of the island from King Kong. Whole eco-systems are integrated on the island and you’ll get more details on the different biospheres, even though you don’t get to see too much of them in the movies.

That’s not it, everything is even illustrated with elaborate color drawings. Of course the past 65 million years didn’t just pass the Skull Island without leaving any marks, thus the dinosaurs and other species have evolved into new races.

It’s a book for all you dinosaur fans out there, for your King Kong lovers and for those who love learning stuff about bizarre animals and great illustrations!
