Sun glasses and a suit, these are his signature features. He’s famous all around the world for his sound. This man is considered one of the best guitarists in the world and is on the same level as legends like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck. Well, do you know which guitarist I mean?

If not…that’s okay. In my opinion the smart guitar god Joe Bonamassa really is quite unobtrusive once he takes off his business suit in the back stage. There’s not much talk and bluster about him. It’s his excellent guitar skills that knot your fingers together from watching only which enchant you.

This incredible guy started playing guitar when he was as young as four years old with a handmade mini guitar from his father’s store…Impressive! I’ve been as excited as a child when I visited his concert on Thursday, the 27th of February 2014 at the Tempodrom. That’s the first time I had to experience his music live!

For the first thirty minutes, the blues/blues rock singer and composer showed his skills with an acoustic guitar and had seven others playing with him. After his first song I was all “Oh yeah!”, however after the seventh or eighth acoustic song I was like “Awww no…not another acoustic song.

However, as we all know Joe Bonamassa he of course has his E-Guitars with him too. At first, I felt like he’s showing us he’s an elder artist already and he’s celebrating that on stage. However, I think everyone at the Tempodrom was really happy when Joe finally said: “Don’t worry, the E-Guitars get their share of the cake as well.”

And one thing’s for sure: Joe Bonamassa’s E-Guitar sound basically is the Chuck Norris in terms of music. You’ll start bobbing as soon as Joe starts strumming the guitar.

I’m not even joking, I took a look around and everyone was nodding their backs. Back and forth and back and forth. There were even some headbangers with long hair!

Well done!
