These bad boys aren’t just ordinary base caps because New Era isn’t just an ordinary sports label. With its roots firmly positioned in the American Sports world, New Era probably represents the worldwide leading label for headgear. Hip hoppers as well as skaters and of course fashionistas all over the world fell for the designs of the caps. However, the prestigious history of New Era started on America’s baseball fields. There, the brand born in 1920 indeed started a new era. As the first label which provided professional baseball players with handmade uniformed base caps, New Era established itself in the sports as well as the fashion world.
The Heritage 1934 is made to celebrate these roots. The 6 base caps in the series, which are based on original designs from the year 1934, impress with a nice vintage touch, turning the Heritage series into a fashionable delicacy. On February 27th 2014 we were invited to an exclusive preview which took place in the Berliner street wear boutique Firmament in the Linienstraße 40, shortly before the sales start on February 28th.
In a dark room, these jewels were presented on illuminated podiums as if they were the crown jewels of a royal family. The presentation of these caps truly made them look even more majestic than they already are. Incredible.
