Benjamin Leprince’s eponymous label was only founded in 2012. The first collection has already revealed his biggest source of inspiration: the beauty of the wearer, who beams with joy and lets her environment beam, as well. The designer follows a modern aesthetic, which is mostly marked by asymmetric designs, simplicity and reduction. The concept of the minimalism is the focus and creates the “wow-effect”.

His newest collection for fall and winter 2013/14 is named “Civil War” and represents the mix between the French chic design and purism very well. The colors concentrate on black, which is then combined with a very dark red shade. Most of the designs have a very loose cut and their wide kimono sleeves remind of an Asian source of inspiration. While some of the garments are very minimalist, others are emphasizing the thin waist and highlight the femininity.

The designs of Benjamin Leprince reinvent the classy French chic and complete it with reduction and Asian details. The collection for fall and winter is kept in quite gloomy colors, but this doesn’t influence the aesthetics of the collection, at all.
