Jaques Dequeker’s a Brazilian photographer. He discovered his passion for fashion and photography when he was taking pictures of his first self-printed t-shirts. Maybe his love for aesthetics is coming from his partially French genes. Nowadays, Jacques Dequeker can proudly retrospect on his successful career. He won the price for “The Best Fashion Photographer” by ABIT (The Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association). He even participated in the Art Biennale in Rome with his own films.
Those pictures you can admire on his website couldn’t be kept hidden from Vogue…The charming Candice Swanepoel, Cara Delevingne, Rita Ora and many other confident women who are the impersonations of beauty in our current society, already posed in front of his lens. Just as on his photos, so does Jacques Dequeker concentrate on his films about fashion. That means that he doesn’t tell us a story as we’re used to but he rather gives us an insight on a situation, of a woman, of her clothes, of her jewelry.
