Pirosmani stands for ready-to-wear fashion which isn’t only made for one specific season, an era or a style. With their models they create long-life art. The winter collection 2013/14 is mainly kept in black and is sometimes highlighted by some colorful elements. The collection is named: “The Fall Of The Rebel Angels”; perhaps because every piece is quite gloomy, dark and thrilling, and receives its mysterious style in combination with other models.
The men wear wide, black pants with many details such as big attached pockets and leather elements. The tops receive the same dark color, black. They have voluminous cuts as well. The sport coats have a big hood which covers almost the whole face. Others stand out with their asymmetrical cut. Wide sweaters, wrinkled jackets and much more can be found in this selection.
Also the women wear black, be it shorts, tops, bodies, leggings, jackets or dresses. Many different materials form the special look. Creases and leather elements truly make the garments look impressive. For the leggings Pirosmani used opaque and transparent fabrics. This gives a sensual touch which breaks into this “dangerous” collection. My favorites are a floor-length black dress and a floor-length black cape.
Pirosmani doesn’t care about the word “limits”. There are no limits in their designs. The designer Jenya Malygina sometimes uses ripped, creased, but also sleek and clean materials for the creations.
