Claudia Gamba comes from a family which has been working with textiles for more than 100 years. It’s been clear for Claudia that fashion design is going to be her live. She decided to study in England, a place far away from her hometown in Italy. She graduated from the Institutive Marangoni in 2012 and was able to present her collection at the Fashion Week in London, but also in Paris. Soon afterwards many magazines and fashion blogs showed their interest in her. She was presented at the Not Just A Label and now offers her pieces at MUUSE.

The final collection of Claudia Gamba is entitled “Future’s Memories”. Through this collection, the designer focuses on the monuments which were built in the past Yugoslavia as memorials of the Second World War. Because the language of forms has changed, now those structures have lost their expression and have been abandoned. She mixes them with future projects of architects and tries to bring back the original message of those structures.

Claudia Gamba uses a reduced range of colors and shapes for her designs but always represent them anew – this may be a result of her love for Bauhaus. Her latest collection only consists of black, white and a strong orange. Rectangles and triangles are mixed up and a three dimensionality is created. The designs are very dynamic, but at the same time static and get a feminine touch with the fall of folds.

In the collection of Claudia Gamba you can find designs from chic evening gowns to bold everyday clothing. The line shows a very clear and significant style with a skillful use of colors and shapes.
