The band Comeback Kid was founded in Winnipeg, Canada in 2002 by their shouter Scott Wade. But in 2006 he was replaced by the band’s former guitarist Andrew Neufeld. In 2003 the band signed a contract at the label Facedown Records but switched to Victory Records the following year. Comeback Kid were touring with popular old-school bands like Terror, Throwdown and Everytime I Die and many more.
Comeback Kid are definitely one of my favorite bands. Their style is defined by the origins of hardcore punk and contains inter alia melodic clean parts and heavy, but sometimes melodic riffs. Comeback Kid indeed don’t want to be considered as a political band but still their lyrics have left-political content. Otherwise their lyrics are, as typical of this scene, about misery, love, friendship.
Comeback Kid will also be on stage at the With Full Force Festival in Germany.
