Internationally and nationally as well, Mercedes-Benz participates in the making of a new movie. In “Vaterfreuden”, Matthias Schweighöfer did not only arrange a wonderful cast but he also puts Mercedes-Benz into significant roles. Besides the CLA for the female lead role Maren, the chaotic Brother of Felix, Henne, drives around with a station wagon of the 123 series. Even though he already plays the lead role, Schweighöfer is responsible for the direction and production of the movie as well. “Vaterfreuden” is going to celebrate its premiere on January 29th, 2014 in the Matthäser Kino in Munich. As from February 6th, 2014, it will be out in the theatres nationwide. Mercedes-Benz shows their support on this big tour through Germany and Austria which will go from February 3rd to 12th, 2014.
Plot of “Vaterfreuden”
Felix (Matthias Schweighöfer) loves women and the women love him. He fully enjoys his life as a single, being free from family obligations and children makes him happy – until his annoying brother Henne (Friedrich Mücke) moves back to him with his honey-infatuated ferret. Eventually, Henne reveals his source of income: being a sperm donor. Felix instantly followed his example and solved his financial problems, temporarily. During a wild One-Night-Stand, Karsten suddenly shows up. After a very unfortunate encounter with the pet, Felix became sterile. Such an ultimate life without family and children was not what he imagined. Therefore, he tries everything to find the receiver of his last seeds. He was quite amazed: The famous TV sports host Maren (Isabel Pollack) will be the mother of his only child. The only hindrance is that she was planning to marry Ralph (Tom Beck). But Felix didn’t want to let his only chance of a family slip away and so he does everything possible to get closer to Maren.
