 Hello my fellow beauty lovers,

Winter has arrived, bringing with it snow, cold and ice, which unfortunately means dry lips. Women as well as men know and hate this problem. Todays post is going to contemplate whether or not a lip balm has to be necessarily expensive to bring the desired results and to cure dry lips. I have 2 candidates for you, one being the overly hyped Rêve de Miel from Nuxe (12€) and one lip balm from Vaseline for 1,50€.

The first one is the star amongst the many lip balms out there but is it worth the hype?

Nuxe is a French brand that you can purchase in almost every pharmacy in this country. The little container contains 15g, is beautiful to look at and has the perfect size. The product is easy to use, has a pleasant smell to it and is absolutely matte.

BUT, I’ve had this for more than 10 months now and it just doesn’t do it for me. I’ve been trying to use it at night, in the mornings, a little bit more, a little bit less but it never worked for me. For this kind of money I’m just not satisfied, so that’s a toss for me.

The second candidate is the „Aloe Vera Lip Therapy“ lip balm from Vaseline. Like I mentioned before, it retails for only 1,50€ and can be purchased in Primark. The packaging is not as glam as the previous one but that’s not the most important fact when it comes to lip balms. It contains 20g and it sure as hell does what it promises. My dry lips were gone. I personally prefer to use it overnight as a kind of miracle treatment for my chapped lips.

I can recommend this product from the deepest corner of my heart. It can be a little bit shiny but as long as you use it during the night, you will be fine.

The winner of the beauty showdown is the “Lip Therapy” by Vaseline. Expensive doesn’t mean better.

Yours truly,

Lana Hoang
