Philippa Galasso nennt ihre Kollektion für Frühling und Sommer 2014 „Après le Rêve” und schildert dabei das langsame Erwachen aus einem Teils guten, Teils schlechten Traum. Da das Label in seiner Kollektion ausschließlich Weiß und Schwarz verwendet, wird ein sehr klares und oft auch unschuldiges Bild gezeichnet. Die Kollektion ist voll von Romantik und Verspieltheit. Die Designs arbeiten mit Volants, Maschen und sogar Pailletten, um die glamouröse Romantik zu erzeugen, die einen in dem Moment umgibt, in dem man nicht mehr träumt aber auch noch nicht ganz wach ist, sodass der Traum umso wirklicher scheint und man sich noch einmal hinein stürzt.
Dafür arbeitet Philippa Galasso auch gerne mit viel Verzierungen, wie sie in einem kurzen Kleid zu bewundern sind. Der Schnitt ist typisch weiblich. Der Oberkörper ist eng umkleidet bis zur Taille, wo sich ein weiter Rock auftut. Um den betonten Ausschnitt und über den gesamten Rock legen sich kleine, weiße Blumen oder Blüten, die wie kleine Wölkchen darüber ziehen oder wie mit Schlagsahne einen Eisbecher verzieren.
Ein Traum kann aber auch einmal böse enden und bloß tiefes Schwarz im Gedächtnis zurück lassen. Ein kurzes glamouröses Kleid verkörpert wohl diesen Zustand. Es ist enganliegend und mit Pailletten verziert. Bis auf den voluminöseren, transparenten Saum glitzert und glänzt also alles. Es gibt aber auch solche Träume, die nicht ganz eindeutig sein wollen und einen rätselnd zurücklassen. Dafür legt sich bei Philippa Galasso eine weiße Lage über eine schwarze und kreiert ein Grau. Das Kleid ist wie immer sehr romantisch und könnte auch bei „Frühstück bei Tiffany” zum Einsatz gekommen sein.
Philippa Galasso erinnert mit ihren verträumt, romantischen Designs an den Moment des Aufwachens, an dem der Traum noch Wirklichkeit sein könnte und verspricht damit einen traumhaft schönen Sommer.

Philippa Galasso named her collection for Spring and Summer 2014 “Après le Rêve” and presents the good, the bad and the ugly of slowly waking up. Because the label strictly uses black and white in their collection, a very clear and often innocent look is portrayed. The collection is filled with romantic and playful designs. Valance elements, fringes and even sequins adorn the garments, giving them the glamorous romantic feeling you get when you’re half awake and your dream seems so real and exciting that you just turn around and continue to dream on.
Philippa Galasso works with a lot of adornments to achieve this effect as seen on a short dress. The cut is typically feminine. This skin-tight dress is paired with a wide skirt. A pattern of flowers and blossoms is spreading all around the highlighted cleavage and the whole skirt.
However, sometimes dreams can end not too well and leave a deep black spot in your memory. There is one dress devoted to this certain experience: Again, it is a skin-tight and short dress with sequins. Expect for the voluminous and transparent seam, everything is sparkling. There also are dreams that aren’t too clear and leave you with riddles. To represent this effect, Philippa Galasso offers a brilliant design: A white layer is on top of a black one, thus making the dress look grey. It is very romantic as usual and could also have found purpose at “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”.
With the drowsy, romantic designs, Philippa Galasso reconstrucs the moment when you’re waking up and are still not sure whether you’re still dreaming or not – and promises an incredibly beautiful summer!
