The effortlessness in something that requires absolute control – that is what captures me in ballet. For me, it’s the perfect combination of brilliant proficiency and pure aesthetics. And now that it’s Christmas, we get to see all the classics from Tchaikovsky’s “nutcracker” and “swan lake”. They are the embodiment of the gracious perfection in traditional ballet. And who could possibly present these iconic pieces better than the Russian National Ballet in Moscow?

On 26th to 27th December 2015, the team is expected to present both pieces under the leadership of Anna Alexidze in the “Mannheimer Rosengarten”. A special feature was planned for children; there will be a fairy tale ball that will combine the most popular ballets accompanied by narration. This is a beautiful way to make these classics more intelligible to kids.

If you are in the mood for a night of fairytale in Marie’s world or want to explore the romantic tales of Siegfried and Odette, you should in no way miss out on this event.
