The GEL-KAYANO is widely known for being state of the art. While the GEL-KAYANO 22 is still receiving its final touches in the laboratories of ASICS, FOOTPATROL has collaborated with ASICS to launch some new shoes.
The GEL-KAYANO TRAINER represents the kickoff of one of the most successful running shoe collections in the history of trainers. This shoe was named after its developer Toshikazu Kayano, who to this day remains one of the leading experts on the ASICS design team.
Some may recall that the first ASICS X FOOTPATROL-COLLABORATION built a collection based entirely on the GEL-KAYANO TRAINER with its dimmed olive and black color combination. This time, things get really colorful: FOOTPATROL has definitely succeeded in its mission to bring more color into the mix, deriving inspiration from all the multi-colored raincoats from the 90s, especially 1993, the year in which the GEL-KAYANO TRAINER had its debut.
Rich blue presents itself well in combination with a dark pink on the upper side of the shoe as well as light blue accents on the tongue and heel. If the name “STORM” didn’t already give it away, you can bet your bottom dollar that the shoe will be water-resistant. Additionally, you’ll find 3M material on both the heel counter as well as on the Tigerstripes.
The ASICS X FOOTAPTROL GEL-KAYANO TRAINER „STORM” (150,-EUR) will be released on April, 18 2015. In Germany, this model will be availbe in the following stores:
