At the beginning of October I had the chance to do the makeup for the monthly task of a student of the Photo Academy. Topic: Reenact and reset the photo of a professional photographer of your choice. He chose a very sinister vampire photo of the photoshop artist Calvin Hollywood. Well, awesome. What a coincidence that I was so in the mood for a Halloween makeup shoot.

Well, now let’s take a look at whether the Transylvanian horror story reenacted at the Living Faces Make-up Academy was successfully reenacted by us:

The similarity is shockingly striking, right? I would say: Mission accomplished! My part as a makeup artist consisted of turning the one-meter-long hair into a vampire mane and to paint a creepy vampire makeup on the face of the pretty model. Furthermore, I had the task to arrange and assemble the outfits with the help of the model. The last task isn’t something a makeup artist would normally do, but I didn’t mind choosing the outfit at all. Au contraire: I loved it. I bought my vampire accessories from the Deko Behrend Shop in the Hauptstraße in Schöneberg. Fake Blood, Vampire teeth and contact lenses. The photographer Benjamin Jans particularly placed value on the lighting, posing and photoshop manipulation à la Calvin Hollywood.

Well, what do you think? In the end, we did a good job, right?

If you are interested in the making-of, take a look at the photos we took during the model Sissi’s transformation. Muawhahaha. See you next time!
