Anja Gockel gives the phenomenon fashion a refreshingly new makeover. The selection of available sizes alone sheds a very likable light upon the German successful label with an authentic and down-to-earth fashion philosophy. Her lovingly created designs fit the slim as well as the rather curvy female wearer. However, the style of Anja Gockel indeed seems to be positioned far away from anything mainstream and yet it is inspired by classical and feminine silhouettes and modern elements.
I think that the special attribute is the high quality of the materials which has represented the basis of Anja Gockel’s label for more than 15 years. The designer has always had a fable for exciting designs – painting and drawing have been part of her passions since she was a child. After her graduation at the legendary fashion school Central St. Martins in London, she returned to her home city Mainz.
Now, from July 8th to July 10th, the designer participated in the Panorama Exhibitions . Only a few skirt and top designs were included in the collection dominated by dresses which truly capture a summery flair. Glamour packed in individual shapes à la Sex and the City represented the highlight of the latest clothing line.
Stripes in the timeless color concept black and white, red patterns and muted green determine the style which can be worn at a cocktail party as well as in the office marked her collection. Who loves elegance, will definitely fall in love with Anja Gockel.
