Salonshow presents selected collection highlights including the German outfits for the EXPO 2015 Milano

High-quality and sustainable business fashion is put in the limelight: With classic combinations, silk blouses, shoes and jewelry, the Greenshowroom proves that this high fashion and these accessories which can be easily worn in the office are incredibly stylish. To celebrate the tenth anniversary, the hotel Adlon Kempinski is turned into an amazing stage for the exclusive, sustainable fashion, provided with a completely new room concept. The highlight is the Salonshow, which is taking place this July for the first time as an off-site event of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin in the ballroom of the Adlon.

“Our new room concept and the fact that the Salonshow is taking place in the ballroom have met with the designers’ and exhibitors’ approval”, says Olaf Schmidt, Vice President of the “Textiles & Textile Technologies” of the Messe Frankfurt. “The luxurious flair of the Berlin studios which are all connected, paired with the view onto the Brandenburger Tor, offers the perfect ambient in order to present sustainable, exclusive designs”, he adds. In collaboration with the Ethical Fashion Show Berlin, which takes place in the ewerk and focuses on sustainable street and casual wear, the Greenshowroom represents Europe’s biggest platform for fashion produced in an eco-friendly way. In total, about 120 labels will present themselves during these events, which are organized by the Messe Frankfurt.

Selected showpieces

Gotsumoto, the first suit label certified by the Global Textile Standard Working Group, introduced new men’s suits to the fashion world, presenting them in the Greenshowroom in classic combinations. After his successful premiere last season, Ben Weide will once again show his looks during both events in the Greenshowroom and during the Ethical Fashion Show in Berlin. In addition Johanna Riplinger is present with a light summer collection, which impresses us with a somewhat playful and fine design. Matching, high-quality accessories are provided by Deepmellow and Mutare as well as Royalbush by Jana Keller, who can now also offer shoes for the first time.

Apart from labels from Brazil, France, the Netherlands and other countries, emphasizing the international value of this event, the fashion design school ESMOD in Berlin presented two upcycling collections in collaboration with Hess Natur. The collection can be viewed in the foyer and at the Salonshow.

The visitors can additionally indulge in networking parties, press conferences, tours, presentations as well as panel discussions. From July 8th to July 10th, 2014 the visitors are offered a very busy schedule in the ewerk and Hotel Adlon Kempinski.
