The Lindengarten, situated in Wedding, is a restaurant with a fine tradition and is known for its good home cooking. The restaurant owns a beer garden as well as a ballroom for parties and events. It’s situated at the Nordufer on the opposite side, and it’s the perfect place where you can enjoy an evening in the summer. The beer garden is covered with sand. You might feel like being on the beach.
The staff is very friendly and works quickly. The most important thing is the fresh cooking and the seasonal dishes. I ordered a celtuce with a lot of greens as you can tell from the picture. I also recommend the carrots salad with goat cheese au gratin, the caesar salad with gently roasted chicken breast stripes and the Schwarzbier goulash with homemade spaetzle sautéed in butter.
Of course, you can also sit inside. The location offers a mix between the bistro style and elegance. The ballroom stands out with its ornamented ceiling.
Result: I recommend this Berlin restaurant. It offers an appropriate value-for-money ratio and delicious, fresh dishes. You’ll meet people coming from everywhere, including tourists and real Berliners.
