“I can’t remember to forget you.“

“ Since this accident, I just can’t remember anything new which happens to me. If we carry on this conversation for too long, I will forget how we started talking. Next time, we see each other, I won’t be able to remember you. “

This is the condition the protagonist of the film “Memento” suffers from. Leonard’s life is marked by anterograde amnesia, a condition, which doesn’t allow him to store new explicit memories. That is why he has to write down and take photos of everything he has to remember. The most important reminders are even tattooed on his skin. What is his most crucial priority? Finding the murderer of his wife.

Although his illness almost impairs his ability to even take on the simplest things in everyday life, he can’t even think of giving up, following every single hint he finds. Sounds really intriguing, doesn’t it?

But what truly makes this movie unique is the fact that it starts with the chronological ending and ends with the beginning. Oh yes, this movie indeed is very complex. But if you are able to comprehend the concept of this movie, you will definitely sit in front of your TV or computer screen with your mouth open for more than 30 minutes.
