After having checked out the spring collection 2014, I was really curious about the pre-spring assortment. The designer Jonathan Simkhai uses patchwork elements and blue shades for this collection, which was also remarkable in the other one. The key colors are metallic nuances. They make dresses, skirts and pants look much more casual despite their classic cuts.
In general, the cuts are very classy; their style is broken by the patchwork elements and transparent details. This makes the designs extremely sophisticated. My favorite pieces can be found in two looks. One is the two-piece which consists of a gold bustier and a high-waisted pencil skirt. This one looks perfectly structured since the gold detail on the waist adds a sporty touch.
The other one is a combination of a shiny black top, black leggings and a short, slightly flared skirt with a silver detail. Thanks to the silver-colored material the gloomy look receives a more relaxed and elegant component. Jonathan Simkhai’s pre-spring collection 2014 impresses with design and innovative ideas.
