Amy grew up using sketchbooks and pencils. Both her father and grandfather were artists, which probably is the reason behind her artistic vein.She started a career in the advertising industry after college, although she has always been interested in styles and created looks and accessories. Since her husband transferred to Asia in 1997, she used her artistic abilities again and started working in the fashion industry.
Her new spring and summer collection 2014 deals with her journey from Asia to America. The range of colors is kept in black, white and grey which are refreshed by blue, green and brown. Said color palette represents a reference to the grey streets, the sky, rice fields and the desert. Her designs are all casual and light as a summer breeze and are detailed with fringes. The fabrics are riddled with holes and even wood accessories. Green prints on white garments leads us to the rice fields in China.
Tibi’s spring and summer collection 2014 visualizes her exhausting trip from Asia to America and shows the beauty of the landscapes but also the need for comfort.
