Ming Pin Tien who is originally from Taiwan studied in London and decided to establish his own label right after his master degree in 2012. His strong points lie in the understanding of cuttings and his own idea of beauty as he says himself. This idea allows him to work with extremely difficult cuttings and partly bizarre and extraordinary pieces.

Unlike his collection for fall and winter Ming Pin Tien is holding himself back for his collection for spring and summer 2014. It’s called “I Follow You Into The Dark”. Here he shows rather calm designs which fits the color range. It’s limited to the colors black, white and grey whereby the focus is on white.

The designs are casual and sometimes show experiments such as offset sleeves which should simulate an oversize. Again and again you can see little embellishments throughout the collection such as little fringes on hems or black jagged lines which seem to appear threatening and then you can see flowers as small details. It seems that this collection broach the issue of how threatening the darkness can be. Ming Pin Tien promises a casual and light summer with his designs.
