In “America Hustle“ the audience is getting pulled into the world of the wild 70s, where Christian Bale plays a successful business man and loan shark called Irving Rosenfeld. In the Thriller he owns a couple of launderettes and earns stacks of money by dealing with fake artwork. Similar to the case of Adidas plagiarism you can bet your bottom on a whole lot of confusion going on in this movie.
He and his lover Sydney manage all transactions through intermediaries, who have financial problems. They run a relatively smooth business until FBI agent Richie DiMaso runs into the picture to cut off a piece of the money cake. A couple of shootings, a visit from the Mafia and a whole lot of chaos will result in something you can only see when you get your bum into a theatre. Trust me, it’ll be worth it – big time!
