I have to stay in bed because of coughing, fever and other annoying symptoms of a cold. What to do to get fit as quickly as possible?

1. Resting. Even though I hate lying in bed all time and not being able to read books because of headaches, I have to endure all of this. Trying to sleep as long as possible while wearing grandma’s warm socks. I think this has to help.

2. After having rested for a while, I called one of my acquaintances who studies medicine. I guess I will call her a lot in the future. She told me that it was probably nothing serious and that I shouldn’t worry. Taking some vitamin C was probably enough.

3. Eating – Getting something good to eat was a challenge for me since I was actually stuck in my bed. Fortunately, that’s why we have friends. I called some of them and a minute later, the first one was standing in front of my door with a whole basket of oranges. We ate them together and she started to laugh at me. She couldn’t understand why I was struggling so hard because of my cold if at the same time I was the guy who hadn’t even realized it when I had cut my left shank with a barbwire. Yeah, toughies can’t be toughies all the time. Shortly after, another acquaintance came to me and brought some chicken bouillon with her. Again, they started laughing at me…

When they left, I realized that I felt better. So, I listened to some nice music and took a bath. In the evening, one of my friends came with some kebab and beer. In his opinion, kebab is one of the healthiest foods because it contains a lot of protein, vitamin C and other essential proteins and vitamins. And I really felt better the next day.

So, if you’re getting a cold, take a break, eat a lot of fruits, try to sleep a lot and laugh! That’s the best medicine. If you train a lot, your body might become overstressed and so, might become weaker when it comes to such illnesses. See you next Friday. I hope I will be 100% fit by that time.
