Spike Lee is known for creating some of the most epic movies of all time and his love for New York sports teams.
Keeping it New York all the way, Lee has connected with headwear company New Era to create a special heritage collection based on the New York Yankees. The collaboration derives from a conversation Lee had with New Era CEO, Chris Koch in 1996. The red cap was introduced during this era to the general public and became and instant hit changing the face of sports team merchandise forever. To remind people of this collection, New Era will launch the iconic cap along with three other caps to choose from.
This Spike Lee x New Era Heritage Series collaboration will be available this Thursday, July 17 at select New Era stores.
