For our editorial, we decided to pay the ruins of the BLUB, a former water park, a visit. Of course, we couldn’t miss out on making use of the designs by the designer Stefanie Barz who we already presented to you in previous articles. During all the shootings the extremely extraordinary pieces of clothing of the conceptual artist were called into action we didn’t fail to notice that Stefanie Barz’ designs were always able to cause jaws to drop. You can see at first sight that Stefanie’s fashion is not intended for everyday use. The experimental form language of her clothing is instead highly appreciated for stage performances, in music videos or movies.
I think Stefanie will have the courage to keep walking her path, leading away from the commercial mainstream movement. I am sure that she will stay true to her style and continue creating extravagant shapes and incredible novelties, which really make me want to experiment with fashion.
From my point of view, this is real haute couture considering all these artworks which are capable of lending wings to the fantasy of any beholder. I can just imagine the female protagonist of a fantasy novel walking through an a gaunt desert landscape while the sun is slowly disappearing behind the horizon until her eyes lock on a beautiful starry canopy above her.
Thank you Stefanie for this incredibly journey through fantastic worlds.
