In the fashion world, there are many fur advocates, but at least as many opponents who clearly stand against the use of fur in the fashion industry. Animal welfare organizations like PETA demonstrate in dramatic campaigns on what they think of real fur. However, what exactly are the key points of the fur-opponents? Here are the three most important points of criticism.

Since the animals are specially bred for fur trade, there’s no chance for them to receive appropriate husbandry. They’re usually reared in cages where they have to live in a confined space until their death.

If the animals grow up in freedom, they are usually caught with traps in which they can expect a painful death. Indeed, not everyone complies with the prescribed rules of hunting.

Rare animals are often killed for the production of fur. Hunters across the world go hunting for rare furs to achieve the biggest profit. Also, endangered animal species are murdered for the production of furs.

Isn’t it simply better to go with fake fur?!
