Sektor Gasa which translates to gas sector and refers to the Gaza Strip was the name of a Russian Punk rock band that succeeded in coming to national and international fame. The band was founded in the industrial sector of Voronezh. People said no one became older than 40 there.

The band was brought to life by the singer and guitarist Juri Nikolajewitsch Klinskich. The rest of the cast changed constantly. You can say that they were guest musicians. The music style of the band was melodic and extremely obscene just like the lyrics of the songs. Sometimes, the lyrics were downright absurd, particularly when they were inspired by horror movies. Of course, just like any other punk band, social criticism was one of the major topics Sektor Gasa sang about. Sometimes, the band also incorporated elements of Russian folk art into their music. This is how Russian punk rock should sound like.

The band broke up in 2000 when the founder, the heart of Sektor Gasa, died at the age of 35 due to heart failure.
