I bet many loyal Christian Louboutin fans have always wondered what it would be like to be able to wear his signature red anywhere else but on their feet. Well, now you can find out. The luxury shoe designer has officially launched his own lipstick line, featuring 38 shades in three different textures: Sheer Voile, Silky Satin and my personal favorite, Velvet Matte.
Knowing his creations in the shoe department, we had high hopes in terms of packaging. But we didn’t expect something that gorgeous. The beautiful shades come encased in cone-shaped vials, topped with studded crowns and a ring. The signature shades will come in a black version of the vial and the rest of the line is housed in a beautiful golden bullet case. And it gets better: The lipstick can be easily turned into an accessory. How? Well, just threat a ribbon through the loop on top and you’ll have a necklace in an instant.
The lipsticks retail for $90 a piece and have just been launched at the fashion and luxury goods retailer Saks in the USA. It is however rumored that they’ll soon be sold at Sephora, too.
