Winter need not always imply a scarcity of colour! Anja Gockel proves precisely this with her latest autumn and winter collection. Titled “Take Me Home”, the collection is an eclectic flurry of colours and shapes.

Soft greys and strict blacks are broken up by the intensive yellow and orange tones that shine through the collection like the last rays of the sun against the autumn foliage. The cuts are classical but refrain from feeling stiff. Instead, the fabrics fall easily onto the body, dramatically breezing past and caressing curves. On the whole, this line is full of contradictions. Hard vs. soft is but the prelude.

Simply speaking, this collection is rather a colourful mix, which easily explains the name of the collection. In a globalised world that is constantly driven by progress, many have begun to lose their personal and national cultures. And yet we gain something out of it – cultures remain conserved for us in fashion while gaining recognisation around the globe. The entire world is now our home.
