Already in ancient Egypt men have been considered the beautiful gender and wearing makeup was part of their their daily routine. Today makeup is being frowned upon in the men’s world because it is considered ‘Feminine’. But more and more men start to wear makeup, especially concealer and lip balm.
Concealer is a great thing to wear, not only for women, but also for men because it can help you hide your insecurities which comes in handy for those who experience skin problems like acne. That way men can not only look but also feel better. And why shouldn’t they, when it’s more than normal for women to wear makeup? A little bit of lip balm can also help you to improve your looks because it does not only give your lips a seductive shine but also avoids any dryness.
While in Germany it is considered attractive for men to look as male as possible, in South Korea the term ‘feminine’ is not only being applied on women. Tools like mascara or kajal are a often used in a man’s daily beauty regimen.
All in all, makeup on men is not being seen as a ‘no-go’ anymore. Society is on it’s way to accept makeup on men, although we are going to have to wait a while longer, before it will be a socially accepted thing to see a bunch of men wearing makeup on the street.
