Sex and the City was the reason why my teenage self began to dream about the city that never sleeps. I’ve followed the adventures by Carrie Bradshaw like nothing else before. Back in the day, SatC was one of the most influential series airing. Everything Carrie and her friends ate was in. No matter where they went, that was declared the next hot spot. Today I’d like to introduce you to some of the places in  the Big Apple that got iconic after being installed in the series.

Magnolia bakery – 11th and Bleeker
Cupcake lovers attention please! The Magnolia bakery in NYC is where you get the best stuff. That’s also the place where Carrie told Miranda for the very first time about her future fiancé Aiden whilst they were devouring some of the most delicious cupcakes I had ever laid eyes on.

Manolo Blahnik Store
Sweet Jesus, I can’t even pinpoint on the number of Manolo Blahniks Carrie owned. I can just fathom the vast amount of girls drooling over them, wishing they owned a pair. Carrie once said she could run a marathon in her Blahniks.

Monkey Bar
The Monkey on 60 E. 54th Street is one of the places I’ll personally never forget. That is where Carrie met the cute and smooth Jazz musician Ray. The romance didn’t last long but the cool bar in Midtown East had such a great vibe and nice atmosphere I’ve been dreaming of the day to see it myself. It’s on my bucket list, that’s for sure.
