On the opening day of the London Fashion Week which took place on February 20th, the label Fashion East  showed what it’s got, hosting a fashion show which left the visitors of this spectacular fashion event in awe. But trust me, Fashion East is no ordinary label. You can refer to it as a project which is based on the collaboration between Lulu Kennedy and the Old Truman Brewery. The non-profit organization is considered new, innovative and revolutionizing in the fashion branch. True veterans of the fashion industry, experts in their fields take newcomer designers by the hand and help them create a high-quality collection. As mentors, these experienced fashion designers support newcomers in establishing themselves onto the market to become successful.

Renowned designers and labels like House of Holland, Louise Gray, Marios Schwab, Meadham Kirchoff, Richard Nicoll, Roksanda Ilincic and Simone Rocha helped and at the same time benefitted from this innovative concept. During the Fashion Week London, the best ideas and looks were then incorporated into a mutual collection and presented. The newcomers responsible for the winter line were Caitlin Price, Ed Marler and Mary Benson this time.

The summer collection launched under the project Fashion East succeeded in surpassing the expectations of the critics as well. Innovative silhouettes, breathtaking materials and impressive cheeky color plays will make your summer hotter than ever before. Urban diversity is the omega and alpha here. We caught sight of an oversize dress with patches and defined by an asymmetrical cut which absolutely impressed us. However, the royal, black cape, the shiny America pants, the draped and tied dress, the snake leather cardigan and much more succeeded in blowing our minds, too. Yes, here, “ordinary” has a completely new meaning. Sexiness is receiving a new face.
