Starring: Louane Emera, Karin Viard, Eric Elmosnino and François Damiens

Young Paula truly is a vocal talent you don’t come by every other week. She’s someone, who deserves to be supported, the only problem is: Her parents never once heard her beautiful voice because both of them are deaf-mute. Despite that, the 16-year old talent has a lot on her plate. She frequently helps out on her parents farm, sells products on the market, deals with banks and doctors and on top of that, she supports her father during his campaign to become the mayor of their village. The choir director one day suggested that she should go to a vocal school in Paris, which subsequently meant leaving her parents and moving to a new city on her own.

It’s an endearing and caring movie about a special family. Newcomer starlet “Louane Emera” absolutely wins over a multitude of hearts playing the role of Paula. If you want something that touches your heart, go and watch “La famille Bélier”.
