Surely, you have heard of praying mantis before. They actually are in the same family like cockroaches and termites although they don’t look like it at all. These insects are small little killers, their bodies perfect for the killing of smaller creatures. Big mantis types are not only able to hunt down smaller bugs, they can also deal with huge centipedes, small lizards, snakes, scorpions and even small birds!
And you have probably already heard of insects eating their partners. Yeah, male mantis are often devoured by their beautiful female partners after a successful mating session. One aspect which makes these insects appear even more frightening from my point of view is the fact that they come in all colors and shapes. They can look like flowers, leaves, green, violet, white, mottled. You can indeed say that mantis are natural creative killers.
