Hello fellow beauty lovers.

Today, I’m going to present the Manhattan Eyeshadow Base to you which is supposed to increase the longevity of the eyeshadow you apply onto the primer without rendering the eyeshadow unblendable.

Outer Appearance | Manhattan Eyeshadow Base

The packaging of Manhattan’s eyeshadow base is very simple. The product is held in a small tin in white with black writing. It doesn’t stand out and you wouldn’t normally see it except if you’re really looking for it. But you gals know that the outer appearance and packaging of a product is only a minor aspect. The functionality is the most important factor, which leads me to the next point on the agenda.

The first thing that comes to mind whenever I think about the product is the smell of it. The primer or base has a very strong odour to it. It kind of reminds me of a failed chemical experience from High School, not that hot. I’m usually really cool about different smells but this one was really something else. However, it was easy to apply and didn’t cause any bad skin reactions. I could put any kind of eyeshadow on top and it didn’t smudge at all.

After a couple of hours however, it did crease. Not ideal and definitely not sexy. As you can see, I kept on giving this product second chances because it was supposed to be a dupe to Urban Decay’s Primer Potion, but nada nay.

Overall impression Eyeshadow Base

The application was good, the longevity and smell was bad. The product only costs 4 bucks but unfortunately I can’t recommend it to you guys. Definitely a NOT this time.
