Johanna Riplinger definitely is one of our clear favorites at the Berlin Fashion Week when it comes to ethical fashion. The talented designer will be present this year again in the Greenshowrooms, which is opening its doors from July 8th to July 10th. Johanna will present her brand-new collection for 2015 to us during this fashion spectacle.
The Fashion Week hasn’t even started yet. Nevertheless, Johanna succeeds in taking us to a dark world of pure fascination. She takes our hand and leads us to an underwater world, marked by a very lovely and mystical atmosphere. The time seems to stand still. Only the flowing fabrics of the summer collection 2014 appear to be dancing elegantly with the movement of the wearer. The collection exclusively colored in fuchsia and white features very strong and harsh contrasts. And yet, softness runs through the fabrics, which is underlined by the underwater shooting setting once again. Handmade miniature flowers appear like a kind of dot work when looked at from a distance. It seems as if the entire collection is playing with our optical perception.
Johanna Riplinger whose eco-friendly label unites the French way of life and German craftsmanship only launched her brand in 2013, celebrating her debut at the Berlin Fashion Week. After her fall and winter collection 2013/2014, a sensual dream made of silk, linen, organic cotton, cashmere and angora, which enjoyed a lot of success, we are really looking forward to what is going to await us on July 8th.
