In this little column I’ve been telling you about stories and theories only, but here’s a true and quite disturbing fact about Spoink: Spoink is a cute and tiny Pokémon. It looks like a little piglet, it’s completely round, jumps on its piggy tail and has a pink pearl on its head.
So what could possibly be so weird or even disturbing about this Pokémon?
The pink pearl on its head strengthens its psychic energy, which is why it’s always looking for an even larger pearl… Moreover, Spoink’s heart can’t beat on its own. It has to jump to make the heart pump blood.
If Spoink loses that pearl on its head, it gets weaker and weaker and eventually falls asleep. That means this cute little thing just dies if you take its pearl or if you want to pick this cute little fellow up to cuddle it!
