smoothie

Hello fellow beauty lovers.

I’ve been in my hometown for a couple of days now to visit my family and running some errands. Whilst I am here I am prepared to introduce my parents and my little brother to a world full of healthy and delicious Smoothies to kick-start their days. After experimenting for a while I think I’ve discovered my personal favorite breakfast Smoothies and I thought I’d share it with you guys.

You’ll need:

smoothie 2

1 cup oatmeal
1 cup frozen raspberries
½ banana
1 apple
250g greek yoghurt
1 cup of water
Mint leaves

The oatmeal in the mixture will guarantee you the strength you’ll need throughout the whole day whilst the Greek yoghurt is the perfect source of protein for your whole body. The banana is responsible for the creamy texture of your Smoothie and the apple sweetens the whole thing up a bit. The frozen raspberries not only taste divine, they also will turn your warmed up Smoothie into a cool drink in the morning. Then just add water to help your blender to mix everything together and throw in some mint leaves for a special treat for your taste buds.

If you experience some difficulties whilst blending, it may be because of the fact that you didn’t put enough water into the blender (that’s what happens to me all the time). And remember, always put your frozen ingredients in first, then add creamy stuff like avocado, berries or yoghurt, mix in a little bit of water and add in the remaining fruits. On top of your Smoothie you’ll have to add in  leafy and light ingredients like baby spinach (for green Smoothies).

I like to drink my Smoothie right before working out. You wouldn’t believe how fast the good nutrients go into your system. After only half an hour I can get to exercise and finish my Cardio within one hour. It’s amazing how a blender can change your whole routine 😉

Yours truly,

Lana
