Steven Klein is an American photographer. His studio, Stevenkleinstudio, is based in the heart of New York. He simply can be considered an artists who has his fingers on the pulse of the time. So do his artworks. Steven Klein works with black-and-white photography and also with colorful prints. His works sometimes show a little journey into the past century. The only thing that is missing is a cigarette in the model’s hand.
In his photos he often shows his dramatic side. This is visible on a re-creation of a painting and also in the photo of a blond model wearing a black poncho. While she is posing in a very seductive and self-confident way in the foreground, a rather surreal scenery is taking place in the background which shows a military unit threatening a person with arms. Another dominant aspect of his work is sexuality. The photos for The Beckhams, which were made for the Italian Vogue, focus on sex. There, Victoria dominating in a brief dress, while David is wearing a white tanktop.
