On Walpurgis Night several amazing events are on the agenda in the capital city. In the Mauerpark for instance, the traditional Walpurgis Night festival will take place for the 11th time.
Here, you can say good bye to April and hello to May in a peaceful way with many live acts, fire artists and a controlled bonfire. The entire festival is organized by voluntary work, which means that commerce is something which is mostly frowned upon here. It is free for everyone. Of course, security checks are carried out, so that weapons and glass bottles won’t be brought to the popular park. Other forbidden activities are barbequing in order to guarantee a safe celebration.
Tolerance and peaceful cooperation are in the foreground on the Walpurgis Night. The motto: Be creative and celebrate without resorting to violence. Everyone is invited to contribute something to the colorful festival. Yes, let out your creativity, make music and dance to honor the beginning of one of the most beautiful months: May.
