Complying with this motto, the BER Berlin-Brandenburg invited enthused runners to the Airport Night Run yesterday. Each runner had the choice between a half marathon distance (21 kilometers) and a 10-kilometers run
Those who chose the half marathon distance started at 7 pm towards the take-off and landing runway. The other ones started exactly at 8 pm, but it took 3 minutes until every runner crossed the starting line and reached the round track. Thanks to the airport lighting the runners had a haunting background, which probably pushed their motivation as effectively as all the cheering spectators.
