Designer Lindsay Degen learned how to knit at the adorable age of 3. After getting not one but two degrees she moved to New York City to fulfil her dream of becoming a real designer. She called her company DEGEN and launched in her first Ready-To-Wear collection in February 2012. That contained knitwear like cardigans, leggings, dresses and even shoes.
The most interesting collaboration amongst many was definitely the one between DEGEN and Victoria’s Secret. The famous underwear label is known for its incredible shows, which is why the official inauguration of their collaboration blew the roof off the house. Bright smiley balloons accompanied the gorgeous models on-stage but the centre of the attention was definitely Lindsay’s work. For the very first time something other than the models and the underwear claimed the attention of the audience. Lindsay designed bright leggings with multi-colored pompons and prints. Also, Cardigans and hats had their special moment in the limelight. Who would’ve guessed that knitwear could be that sexy?
