To be honest, no one would voluntarily listen to her music. But she is still an important person of today’s youth culture. Why? Simply because she is a bad role model! That’s something young people need. They need a spirit of resistance and bad influence which helps them to mature without doing everything their parents tell them. Before our generation, there was Mick Jagger, Kurt Cobain and many others. And no, I do not intend to compare these demigods of rock music with the small Miley Cyrus – I have not reached that point. But she is doing everything right. She shocks and disgraces herself so that kids don’t have to do that.
If she stands on stage and masturbates, then she’s doing it for all naughty chits aged 12 to 17 years. And when she is uploading selfies on which she is smoking pot, she is doing it for all teenagers. Of course these escapades are planned to some extent, but that happens if you turn a stupid and immature teen into a superstar and lost the control of her. She is bloody stupid and messes up things just like every other young person does. To be honest, who wants to have a good role model? Who wants to have a generation of kids who pay attention at school and say “please” and “thank you” and know right after graduating what path to take for the future? You surely didn’t want that either?!
Sometimes it is helpful when you have a bad role model to orientate yourself to and to find out what’s important to oneself. But most importantly bad role models normally die early so that they can’t mess up your whole life.
However Miley always does a basic mistake. She apologizes! She always says how sorry she feels about herself jumping around half naked in front of minors. She is sorry for taking drugs and being insane. Just stop it Miley, you screw up everything! You are not allowed to be nice and good. You can’t be a rood role model – just continue setting bad examples!
